Foreign Domestic Worker (FDW) Levy Concession for Persons with Disabilities
INTRODUCTION TO FOREIGN DOMESTIC WORKER (FDW) LEVY CONCESSION FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES
If you hire a foreign domestic worker to care for yourself or loved ones, you may want to find out about Foreign Domestic Worker (FDW) Levy Concession for Persons with Disabilities. It lets families pay a monthly foreign domestic worker levy of just $60, instead of $265. Each household gets concessions for up to two foreign domestic workers for two loved ones in one household at the same time.
HOW TO QUALIFY
To get the FDW Levy Concession:
The care recipient must be aged 16 to 64 years old.
Require Permanent Assistance With ADLs
Care recipients, including those with mental and intellectual disability, need to be assessed by a qualified assessor to be unable to perform at least one Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), as below, permanently.
If you are hiring the foreign domestic worker, you must be the care recipient, or related to the care recipient and living in the same address.
The care recipient must be a Singapore Citizen.
HOW TO APPLY
|||1. Get approval from the Ministry of Manpower
You need approval from the Manpower Ministry to be able to hire an FDW.
|||2. Download and submit the following forms
Application Form For Schemes Administered By Agency For Integrated Care
Functional Assessment Report (Ask your doctor to fill this out. The cost of an assessment may vary. You can approach your doctor or care professional for more information.)
|||3. Supporting documents
Photocopy the front and back of your care recipient’s NRIC or birth certificate
|||4. Mail your documents
Send the completed application form, Functional Assessment Report and photocopied documents to AIC at:
